Yes, the independent Dermatest® institute in Germany has tested the dermatological compatibility of the lip balm sticks and certified them with very good/excellent.
The JADOO Vanilla Sunscreen lip balm provides additional sun protection with sun protection factor 20 (SPF 20). The other variants (Rose, Mango and Neutral with Coconut) do not contain a sun protection factor.
With many lip balm sticks, you have to keep applying more and more product to keep the lips moist. This is not the case with JADOO lip balms, which provide lasting care for the lips. From the very first application, the lips feel pleasantly conditioned and stay that way for longer. Damaged or cracked lips benefit in particular from the intensive and exceptional care provided by JADOO lip balms.
All JADOO lip balm sticks can be opened with the special “click-to-open” mechanism. Pressing the button loosens the cap from the stick so it can be easily removed. This prevents the lip balm stick from opening by itself and covering the contents of a handbag in balm.
JADOO’s range of care products currently features four different lip balm sticks. Further JADOO products are in the planning stage – you’ll have to wait and see!
The JADOO products will initially be sold exclusively in our online shop due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will let you know in due course when and where our JADOO products will also be available at a store near you.
Ingredients
The unique Ayurvedic supportive care formula is what makes JADOO’s lip balms exceptional. We collaborated closely with Ayurvedic specialists to develop the ideally balanced formula packed with Ayurvedic ingredients for exceptional and intensive lip care. The special ingredients include turmeric oil, kokum butter, mango butter, ghee, almond oil, pomegranate seed oil, vitamin E and vitamin F.
No, the JADOO lip balms are not vegan as they contain beeswax.
No, the JADOO lip balm sticks contain no mineral oils.
Packaging
Sustainability is a very important topic for us. That is why we use as little plastic as possible in our packaging. The outer box of the lip balm stick is made of strong cardboard and the label stuck to it is made of paper. The lip balm stick container is mostly made from an aluminium compound. We have only used plastic for important individual components like the button for the “click-to-open” mechanism and the actual holder for the lip balm.

Your satisfaction is extremely important to us. For hygiene reasons, however, we are unfortunately unable to accept the return of opened packages. If you are not satisfied with your order for any reason, please contact us and we will find a solution.
You can pay for your order in our online shop with PayPal and Amazon Pay.
Creating a customer account is not strictly required in order to make an order in our online shop. If you wish, you can also submit your order without setting up a free customer account.
General
Many cosmetics products contain paraffin as it is said to have protective, conditioning and gloss-giving properties. Some scientists and medical experts believe, however, that the long-term use of paraffin can have negative health effects since it is a by-product from the oil production industry. The German Federal Office of Consumer Protection has not classified the substance as harmful to human health. It has been subject to criticism for a long time, however, and as such is highly controversial.
In addition, paraffin used in cosmetics gets into the sewage system. It is not biodegradable and thus remains in the water cycle. As such, it can also have a negative impact on the environment.
For these reasons and in particular for the purpose of Ayurveda, we deliberately avoid the use of paraffin in our products.
Ayurveda means the “knowledge of life” or the “wisdom of life”. The key elements of Ayurveda include Ayurvedic massage, detox regimes, an Ayurvedic diet, yoga and herbal medicine. It is a holistic concept centred around enjoying a long and healthy life – a life in balance. You can find out more about this in the section “About JADOO”.
